A+G are from South Texas but chose to get married at the Homestead ranch in Gunnison, CO (outside of Grand Junction, CO) because every hunting season, G would lead Elk hunts on that ranch since college. The massive property was full of aspen trees, wildflowers, and stunning canyon views. It was everything you'd want for an intimate mountain wedding in Colorado.
Their wedding day was full of perfection, sweet moments, amazing people, and a LOT of rain. The couple got ready in separate cabins and we met at an overlook for their first look. The epic views were the perfect backdrop. The rain died down for a bit and picked back up for the ceremony - even though we tried to wait it out! A+G embraced the rain and we all agreed it meant good luck in their marriage!
A few of my favorite moments; the groom giving his groomsmen duck calls he carved himself from a tree back home, finding a tick in A's veil (eek!), off-roading to our overlook spot, and the groom and groomsmen peeing off the edge of a cliff (don't worry - I didn't include that in this post lol).
A few of my other favorite venues in East Colorado are Breckenridge Resort, The Lodge at Breckenridge, The Keystone wedding venue, Sonnenalp Hotel, and Pinevalley River Ranch.
