You're not alone. So many women have questions and hesitations. Here are some frequently asked questions:
1. I don't know how to pose, I'm not a model, and I have insecurities.
I have been a photographer for over 10 years, I understand and am an expert at posing, lighting for the body, and understanding angles. I will walk you through every pose and facial expression to make sure you feel amazing throughout your whole shoot. I am your ultimate hype-woman and will make sure you LOVE your photos. You deserve to have photos that make you feel amazing!
2. What should I wear?
During our styling-session we will discuss different looks, outfit suggestions, and hair and makeup options. Everyone has different comfort levels - you could wear a sweatshirt and briefs or you could wear sexy lingerie - it's all up to you!
3. Will my pictures be displayed online?
No, unless you give me permission. I will only display your photos online or on social media with explicit, written permission. However, if you do choose to share your photos, I know it helps other women feel empowered to see all different body shapes and types! You can choose to allow me to share all the photos, just a few, or none - it's all up to you.
4. As someone who is a conservative christian, I feel nervous about the idea of doing a boudoir shoot. Is it okay?
This is, of course, is a personal choice. I feel that boudoir photos are a celebration of our bodies and if you've every struggled with feeling beautiful, confident, or sexy - seeing yourself in print is a transformative experience. I truly believe that if we can celebrate ourselves and find happiness in our bodies, God is pleased.
5. Why do people get boudoirs done?
Many people assume boudoir photos are a gift for a partner - which can be the case for many. Boudoir photos can also be a self-care gift to yourself. It's a day of pampering, of being SEEN, having fun, and of being vulnerable. Clients say it ends up being a bigger gift to themselves than to their partner. And honestly, nobody should ever need an excuse to get fabulous photos taken of them.
